ADDITIVE Mix Instructions: Pour 1 or 2 fluid ounces of Easy Peak – A Soft Wash Roof Restorer and House Wash Additive into your 1 gallon of bleach solution then gently stir. The Bleach may be: (A) full strength 12% swimming pool liquid Chlorine Shock or diluted once or twice with water (B) 6% commercial strength bleach used full strength or diluted once with water (C) 3% household Bleach used full strength.

Features of the Easy Peak™ – A Soft Wash Roof Restorer and House Wash Additive

 Directions:

  • Roof streaks: Blend EASY PEAK & (B) 6% BLEACH. Apply with an all plastic pump up garden sprayer or professional spray application machine. Apply EASY PEAK & BLEACH blend directly onto streaked dirty roofs fully wetting each shingle and edges. Wait 5 to 15 minutes; rinse the roof with a flush of water. Water rinsing may be optional on lightly streaked roofs allowing next rainfall to do the rinsing.
  • Roof Moss: Blend EASY PEAK & (A) 12% or (B) 6% BLEACH to break down thick green moss growth found on roofs. Fully saturate the growth with EASY PEAK & BLEACH blend, allow 15 minutes of working time. Because thick moss tends to hang onto shingles, swipe the moss with a medium bristle brush or broom detaching the buildup. Blast with a garden hose or gentle pressure wash rinse. Repeat if necessary.
  • House & grounds wash: Blend EASY PEAK & (C) 3% bleach. Following direction as above to clean and restore siding, gutters, painted surfaces, brick, stucco, fences, concrete walk and driveways.
  • JOB TIP: When warm days and warm roofs cause product evaporation; reapply more EASY PEAK & BLEACH blend keeping the shingles wetted for 15 minutes.
  • JOB TIP: On very hot days it is best to work in the mornings. Or, cool the shingles with a flood of cold water then apply EASY PEAK & BLEACH blend.
  • JOB TIP: If the BLEACH BLEND will be unavoidably over spray onto shrubs and plantings, cover them with light weight plastic sheeting or pre-wet and kept wet during cleaning job. Pay more attention to house sides without rain gutters.
  • Cautions: Working on ladders and roofs is dangerous, especially wet roofs. Never walk on roofs without OSHA approved personal fall prevention safety harness equipment. Wear OSHA approved personal protective inhalation equipment and skin and eye contact prevention wear. Bleach will discolor clothing. Read the MSDS and product labels for Easy Peak – A Soft Wash Roof Restorer and House Wash Additive and your bleach information.

BACKBOARDS™ is a mild acidic clear liquid wood restoring detergent. BACKBOARDS™ restores wood surfaces discolored by years of exposure to weathering elements. BACKBOARDS™ readily transforms old gray or blackened, moldy wood to its original appearance. BACKBOARDS™ dramatically reduces cleaning efforts and time allowing more effective restoration than pressure water blasting alone. BACKBOARDS™ and a gentle 500 to 1000PSI flush rinse eliminates gouging, splintering, furring, stop/start, overlapping marks and deep injections of water into the vulnerable wood fibers. BACKBOARDS™ is recommended for cedar, pressure treated, redwood and other types of wooden decks, shakes, roofs, fences and log cabins.
DIRECTIONS: Dilute with water as specified in the following ratios:
Wood restoration: Pressure washer cleaning: Full Strength or dilute up to 3 to 1 with water. Manual Scrubbing: Full Strength.
Mild Masonry Brightening: Full Strength Rust Stain Removal: Full Strength
RESTORATION TIPS -Ultra high pressure (greater than 2000 PSI) damages wood fibers. -DO NOT BLEACH! Sodium Hypochlorite solutions soften, raise the grain, and splinter wood fibers. Bleach also forms a film that deters follow up preservative penetration. Bleach and wood do not get along! -Use cold or warm water to pressure clean. Hot water softens wood causing fiber damage. -If a previous wood treatment is evident, a chemical stripper may first be required. Call ETS. -Follow up the wood restoration with a full bodied, replenishing wood preservative. Call ETS.
APPLICATIONS
Wood Restoration: Sweep or brush surface to be cleaned. Dampen wood surfaces with a water spray Generously apply Backboards by brush or garden pump sprayer. Agitate the surface with a medium bristle brush. Allow to set 15-20 minutes. If surface is drying, keep damp with a water mist spray. Gently flush rinse with a pressure washer to reveal a restored surface. If rinsing with a garden hose, additional scrubbing may be required. Mild masonry restoration and rust stain removal: Apply full strength let set 10-15 minutes, scrub if necessary, pressure rinse.
COMMENTS: Protect adjacent surfaces and plant life with light plastic draping. Mix well before using. Backboards is a saturated solution of high solids. Store above 50°F to prevent crystals forming on bottom of container. Warm the solution or dissolve crystals in hot water. Crystals will not effect products performance.
