Diedrich 606 Paint Remover is a thixotropic alkaline compounds blended with special wetting agents and surfactants designed to remove oil base, latex, and lead based paints from exterior surfaces under normal conditions. Whitewash, limewash, cement-based paints, aggregate sand masonry waterproofing paints, blood and milk paints are difficult and may not be affected by the 606/606X. A TEST SAMPLE IS A MUST.  Diedrich 606 Paint Remover can be used to remove paint from brick, stone, concrete, block, metal and wood surfaces, followed by the appropriate Diedrich Neutralizer. 606 can also be used for graffiti removal from brick, stone, block and concrete surfaces. Most people don’t winterize their pressure washer, more precisely their pump. Left over liquid in the pump freezes when temperatures drop, expands, and then causes real damage. So if you want to get the maximum life out of your pump and don’t want to purchase a new pump or pay for pump repair parts, following these instructions to winterize your pressure washer and it could save you time and money.

Whenever storing a pump for extended periods or between use in cold climates you need to winterize your pressure washer, drain all pumped liquids from the pump and flush the liquid-end with an antifreeze solution to prevent freezing and damage to the manifold or pump. Do not pump with frozen liquid in the pump.

Standard Shut Down to winterize your pressure washer

• To begin to winterize your pressure washer, flush pump and chemical injector with fresh water. • Turn off power supply. • Squeeze trigger gun to relieve line pressure. • Disconnect Inlet and Discharge Plumbing.

How System Flush to winterize your pressure washer

• Connect a short 4 foot hose to the pump inlet for units without a float tank and place the other end of the hose in a container with 50% water and 50% antifreeze.• For units WITH a float tank, pour anti-freeze mixture directly into tank to start to winterize your pressure washer.• Start the unit and run until the antifreeze flows out the discharge of the pump.• Allow unit to go into bypass at least one time to circulate anti-freeze (release trigger gun to activate bypass). • Shut the unit off and disconnect the hose from the pump inlet you have now completed the last step to  winterize your pressure washer. • Store unit (do not install plugs in the inlet and discharge port). • Cover to protect from severe elements.

Restarting System after you properly winterize your pressure washer • Turn regulator/unloader setting to lowest pressure point. • Check crankcase oillevel and purity. • Reconnect the liquid supply line, discharge line and allow liquid to flow through pump for 2-3 minutes. • Check for leaks at all plumbing connections. • Turn crankshaft by hand initially (this step is only for BELT DRIVE pressure washer pumps). If free moving, start power. • Gradually reset regulator/unloader in small increments to desired system pressure and resume operation. • Follow your established maintenance cycle or the standard Preventative Maintenance Check List in the pump service manual.

INSTALLATION ON THIS CAT PUMP 1LX100:
Each CAT PUMP 1LX100 comes with oil in the crankcase ready for start-up. CAT PUMPS special premium grade, multi-viscosity crankcase oil should be used. It is recommended to install this pump in a horizontal position with the oil filler cap at the top. It is permissible to rotate the oil filler cap to the right or left, however, some oil spitting may occur. A rubber plug is inserted into the oil filler cap for shipping. This should be removed before operation. Do not operate pump with plug in cap. Flexible hose should be installed at the unloader ports. Connect a hose equal to or one size larger than the inlet port at the bottom of the pump body. Connect a high pressure hose to the regulator discharge port at the side of the regulator. Connect a by-pass hose to the bottom port of the regulator or unloader and run to drain or back to a “T” in the inlet line.  CAUTION: Do not over tighten the RTP pump or regulator body.

OPERATION of the CAT PUMP 1LX100:
Once the inlet water supply is turned on and the pump is started, adjust the regulator at the top with an allen wrench or turn adjusting cap on the unloader to set system pressure. Do this in small increments until the desired system operating pressure is reached. The CAT PUMP 1LX100 are axial plunger pumps. Special direct-drive motors are secured to the pump with a V-Clamp Mounting. The optional Drive Mount Assembly is required for the belt drive 1LXB100 model.  The motor on the CAT PUMP 1LX100 rotates the offset cam and guide plate which is connected to the three plungers. Each plunger moves forward at a different stage of the cam rotation, providing a smooth, forward, liquid flow through the pump. On the back stroke, the liquid enters the inlet chamber and flows through each inlet valve. As the forward stroke begins, the inlet valve closes. On the forward stroke, the liquid goes through the seat and forces the discharge valve open to allow the liquid out the regulator discharge port.

The MHP comes standard with the bracket needed to add an optional hose reel for tangle-free washing and additional high-pressure hose protection.

SAFETY: As with all Landa pressure washers, the MHP comes certified to the rigid UL-1776 safety standards, including: 24-inch hose guard for burst protection; thermal pump protector and unloader for protection against build up of pressure or heat in pump bypass water; and rupture disk to vent any build up of excessive pressure in the heating coil.
